How can you learn to play an instrument – after having given years ago?
I took lessons my mother's piano, a piano teacher at the time I was 8 years. My parents were strict and cold and forced me to take them. dad when I was 8 years old I started listening to songs on the radio and play on the piano by ear, with grandmother progressions. My Agreement (mother) told me I had a natural talent and that I should continue to play. She plays the piano beautifully by ear and often played for theatrical productions of the community. But when my mother heard me, Natty and she became very angry and smacked the piano lid closed so I could not play. She wanted me to adhere to the strict reading scores was very difficult for me. Now I'm in my twenties I want to go where I left off and start playing again, but Im not sure where to start. Im so scared, I completely lost the gift I had for music. It makes me sick. Has anyone ever again after he has abandoned for so long? And if so, how did you do? Thank you
Do not give up something you enjoy – esp. when it comes to music. You need to erase the experiences negative your mind replacing them with good, new. Your talent and experience has not disappeared, it needs just re-awakening. And you re-learn the same way you learned in the first place – by listening, watching, and practice, practice, practice. The good news is that will return to you and the learning curve will be much shorter this time around. If possible, find a teacher, you can work with. Get recommendations friends, call a college music department or sector of the university for the names of advanced students who also teach, search online or in a directory. If you do not click, do not continue until you find one that does. Good luck and happy Music! =]
