Yes you can. But I would not recommend it. I say to you on personal experience. I started learning the piano by myself (I started when I was 17 so its very difficult now), then managed to get private lessons. My teacher had to correct many lot of mistakes since I learned things as bad. Its better if you get private lessons. Nothing better than a teacher rights.
