Is it hard learning the piano yourself?
Just curious to know is it difficult to learn piano by yourself? Because my ears are well trained because I listened to much classical music in my time. For about 15 years and I think back to the piano and learn everything by myself. Do you it is wise? I'm going to learn it for 30 minutes a day to start slow I know the basic theory. So what do you think? Thank you
I've never met a self-taught pianist who played with any real skills, and I heard hundreds. Some of these people I know be intense musical also. A teacher does not necessarily prove the "knowledge", but a pair of eyes and ears watching and listen while you try to make music a few black spots in front of you while you play on an instrument that is totally foreign to you seem to be quite essential. If you're short of money, these lessons can be can be interrupted at one point, but not before you make music on the piano (unlike plonking with wood slats) The same advice is given, even for singers, and they have the advantage of being intimate with their instruments. It could be that students find listening to music with objectivity really difficult? If you decide to get a teacher, try to make sure it is good. A teacher indifference is almost as bad as anything!
