Learn Piano Beginner Dvd

Is it hard to teach yourself piano?

Well, today I received a very high content of music, and my teacher told me to start learning the piano coz I'd be good at it. but my companion told me it's like £ 15 a lesson, and I'm not folking every week. So I want to teach me. I bought a DVD from the beginning music store and im soon to buy a keyboard, but the difficulty is it? How long will it take? Help?

If you just want to learn for fun and can not afford a teacher – so I think it's a great idea teach yourself (I do it myself and its fine work). Learn on your own is better than not learning at all if its something you enjoy doing. If you want to be really good at the piano, so be it must be naturally gifted (which I think very few people fall into this category) or you will probably need a teacher. Good teachers can really identify the mistakes you make you will not be able to find by yourself. If you want to get really good, maybe you can find a teacher willing to teach you once a month so it will not cost much. Personally I do not think you need a teacher to teach you how to read music. You can do your own training DVD as you have decided to look. What you need is a teacher to listen to you play your songs every once in awhile to see if your timing is good, if you play certain notes, high / low enough, etc. – these are the things that you really can not ensure that you are doing on your own. With this, you just see them say once a month. Have to say, I see teachers tell you that you need a lesson once a week. It is possible they could be telling you this because they are motivated by money (money plus more lessons for them), or simply because they are used for teaching this way. I would say if you're short of money when you ignore their advice and just try to say once a month or every two weeks and see how it password. You can then try to have lessons once a week just for a short period of time to see if it really makes a difference. Course as I said, if it's just for fun, you do not care to do really well, you do not need a teacher to all. If do not receive a teacher, I suggest you download files midi/mp3 of songs you want to learn to play. This way, you can listen and get an idea of whether you are playing them right. Timing, strong / softeness how you play can really affect how good you sound and you will get probably not the rights as a beginner, just looking at the scores.
