Question re: classical piano beginners – best route?
Hi all, what is the best way to work through books beginner piano (UK Grades 1-3)? Is it better to get a really good grip on all scales, broken chords, arpeggios, etc. before trying easy to learn a piece, or is it better to learn the scales, etc., at the same time as work on a song? Thank you for your advice!
Most teachers will have a beginner to work on easy pieces, scales and theory all in the same time. To work on scales and arpeggios just before trying to play music would be absolutely boring. After all, making music is what it is about. Musician, composer, teacher.
