Is it too late for me to learn to play the piano?
im 16 years old and I have a keyboard that I had when I was a child (If its fully functional). I want to learn how to play since I've done has never been used. but I have no idea how to read music and the only experience ive had with that was when I played the recorder in 4th grade, lol (I forget now if it): "(It is too late for me to learn to play piano and is it possible for me to do it myself? I have access to a computer to download music in and out of balance, but I could buy some too, if I needed it. Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not start until I was 28, then it is certainly possible for you. You can do it yourself if you are diligent enough. Many people do. But if you can take lessons, by all means do so. (If your teacher can catch any bad habits, etc. and point you in the right direction) Learning to read music is hard, but what many are using flash cards. Make one for each note. You may have to draw from each hand, but it's worth it! Keep them with you and review them whenever you have a chance.
