and also, I'm too old to learn an instrument? btw im 18. I tried learning the guitar by myself, but I finally abandoned. Now Im considering taking violin lessons since im very interested by it. I also believe that learning the piano. your answers, views and opinions are welcome.
You are certainly not too old. I have several adult students who are on track. I would encourage you to pursue interests whatever instrument you the most, regardless difficulty and stay with it until you reach your goals. Each instrument has its own set of technical challenges that you must overcome. Your chances of success are greatly enhanced if there is something (the sound, the role it plays in ensembles, the expressive qualities or all above) that speaks to you deeply. It seems that this instrument is the violin in your case. What may seem difficult to others may in fact come very easily for you because you have the natural physical abilities, hearing and mental lend themselves to a particular instrument. Even if you do not seem to have these advantages, a good teacher can help you overcome physical obstacles and cultivate your talents in other areas. Yes, the violin can be a struggle, but can not the guitar or piano. The guitar has frets and piano keys so that you may have problems with them under ground, but the guitar has six strings and a piano very broad and often requires you to read two staves instead of one.
