How do you play your ear on the piano?
So … I played the violin for 10 years and can earplay almost any base piece of music on it. I tried piano lip for like a year. I can also earplay the melody of a song on a piano rather well. But how do I know what chord to play to accompany the melody? I do not necessarily want to know how to play a part perfectly, but just to be able to play something that sounds good. Thank you in advance.
I do not know how to play by ear, but I can look the score, find the keys, then listen to music and put it all together. I did not really even use the music, but only for the notes. I use my MP3 songs to help me find the speed and timing of the press and play the notes.
