How can I learn to play guitar?

I want this guitar, it costs $ 150.00. I'll go buy it on the weekend. But thing is that I have no idea how to play the guitar, but I really want to learn from September. The guitar includes a DVD on how to play guitar, but I do not think a DVD that will help me to really learn and is good. I live in Calgary, Alberta and I want to try to find some well known places where they teach you to play guitar and piano and other instruments. I live in the south-east of Calgary so I want to be able to find one that is a little easier for me. Ps I am 12 years IM not sure if it makes a difference. PSS is learning the guitar hard? Tell me about your experiences!

What will you buy? Electric or acoustic? Guitar Learning is a very rewarding experience. Its fun shit once you get the hang thereof. I learned the bass first, then learned acoustics. I bought an electric guitar too, but I picked it up. Electric Guitar has never seemed so rewarding to learn. It has always been much more of a hassle to plug into the amp just to play. I had do it with my bass, but I play so I can slap making noise with her, without connecting it very often at all you have to screw around practice. Then the distortion pedal so you can better Rock. I could talk about my ass, although since I have never heard a crazy solo on it, but it's just my opinion. The best advice I can give you is do not worry when you start first. Competence does not come all at once, we may think it will be and the only place taking you giving up. Do not pick up the thought, "I'm going to learn the guitar" pick it up and think, "I'll have fun and not worry everything I think I should know right away. "Practice to free your mind of other things that are bothering you. If you are a mother screaming at you to clean your room, just take the guitar and a little practice. thats what I always did, lol. People are starting to play guitar because they believe they will enjoy the experience, do not think they will become famous musician day. You do not have to learn all scales some graphic on it, or understand music theory before you worry about an agreement. Practice a song that is simple. Something with as 3 chords you just scratch. Then do another song and learn 3 chords more. Soon you understand how music works without read a book about it. The only thing you do not want your songs for learning is to develop bad habits. Go to YouTube. There are a ton guitar lessons that people post for someone like you who is just beginning. Learn how to organize the right selection about where to put your fingers on the handle, keep your thumb parked behind the neck, do not let your thumb slide up and over the fretboard. Thats just what subject. It is really not a ton of things to say other than practical playing right. Notice that I said to these songs you learn. Do not try to master first thing you will learn more as you practice a song. Some of the best songs to start learning are Johnny Cash songs. Some of them are so simple it's ridiculous. They are fun to play well, and are not difficult. Either buy a CD or simply what I do and download music from Bittorrent, haha. Learn the names of each string (E, A, D, G, B, E) and memorize the chords you use in a song you learn. I could go on and on, so I'll stop myself now. Go to YouTube. There are a ton of good videos there to learn guitar. I'd be more than happy to help you at any time as well. I can easily answer any questions you have. I was taught by my former teacher I would always make myself available for people who are willing to learn an instrument that I play. Always give help where help is needed, and I stand by that. If you have questions you can send me an email Beastman59@gmail.com, or you can send me a message on Facebook or something. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=655563116. Do not worry, I'm not sure Guy frightening for children or anything, I 19 years and I just like helping anyone who needs help with any instrument I can help with. Good Luck!
